Live on Kaleidoscope: Tim Pritchard and the Boxcar Suite
It's an evening of firsts as Kaleidoscope broadcasts its first show from the new WYSO studios. Tim Pritchard and the Boxcar Suite (Tim Pritchard, Phil Caviness, Tony Moore and Trevor Bell) are the evening's guests performing the first live set in the new building ahead of their first public performance at Side Show 7 on May 12, 2012 at the Yellow Cab Building in downtown Dayton. The band performs an acoustic set and previews songs from their album, set to be released in late May.

Dayton Fashion Week is more than just a week. It's quickly grown into a year-round organization devoted to both helping promote fashion in the Miami Valley and making Dayton a better place through volunteerism. Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt spoke Dayton Fashion Week Operations Directors and WYSO Community Voices Producer Caressa Brown, along with two of the model in the Fashion Week cover model contest, Jessica Ennis and Megan Krug.

At the helm of the celebrations is Ghettoblaster Magazine, run in part locally. Ghettoblaster managing editor and co-publisher, David Obenour joins Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt in the studio to talk about the magazine and its role in this year's festivities, which include a special showing of Empire Records at the Neon Movies.
